Streeeatch and relax!
At last a spare five minutes to update.
Weekend was tre busy, the journey over to Sheffield was fun, I lurve my new car :D
Cruise control was scary :/ I’d set it at a constant speed, but it gives me a feeling of being slightly out of control of the car.
The traffic in front was closing up quickly so I tapped the breaks, but it sped up to the same speed gain! :s
Couldn't find the 'off switch' kept pressing the speed set switchy thing....until I figured it out - in the end! never mind, panic over.
Wood head over the peaks was really foggy, but managed it with the help of my in-car dominatrix!
One thing I figured, never go to Corporation on a Friday night unless you want to feel old.....
The music was fairly emo and lots of people running around as if they've never been out before *humph*
Went to a *really* nice Italian restaurant with Katie and jay beforehand, £44 for four peeps with drinks and I have the biggest Calzone eva!
Saturday consisted of getting up early to go to Vauxhall garage for a pin code for the CD multi-changer, servicing two cars (we now also have a Saab :D) as well as servicing Katie’s car before she went off to baby-sit.
I fixed the evil electrifying sparky light in the living room, turned the electricity off, only to find the cables had melted and fuzed together, mmmmnice electric smell, with a little jigging and poking....I bring light to the house once again :D
Late afternoon, we had a Dan n Emma to visit which consisted in videos, nibbles and smoking. Far too tired to do anything else..bleurgh.
Sunday, took Dan n Emma back before my maternal ancestor arrived.
Mum had some good news, she has just got a job contracted to work in Qatar for three years as a hospital manager.... which is cool, they’ll pay for her accommodation and her wage is tax free!
YaY! free holidays to Saudi Arabia to visit mum! the contract starts at the end of March.
Hmm, must get mum to investigate the customs for clothing in certain parts, not too sure if they'd like me wondering round in tiny tee shirts, showing off tattoos.........
Oh and never wash a car late afternoon when the nights are freezing! I washed mine at 4pm and by 7, it was frozen solid! :S I had to yank the doors open and defrost/unstick the window wipers from the car!
Went to Charlie’s in the evening, Belinda was present, we played board games and had quite a nice evening. Belinda also pointed out that it was a nice change to properly interact and relax.
We all played 'Dilemma' which in short, you have to read out a dilemma and decide what you would do from the options given on the card, the more people who got the same answer as you, the more spaces each of you moved, some were quite funny.
'Skribble' was similar to Dingbats and sherards (sp?), you had to describe something using only shapes and others had to draw it and guess what it is, Zoe's version of 'its raining men' was interesting to say the least! ;p
Ahh, d1550lu510n3d's new job means he gets in at 8pm currently, but only for another week or so.
I have today off as holiday to sit in for Mr delivery man to arrive, which he did! with a shiney new fan for the central heating system :D no more frozen house! all the warmness when d1550lu510n3d gets back and fits it.
It's nice to have some time off, only 3/8 analysts were in at work on Friday due to courses and holiday.....it was sooo busy.
Thursday consisted of doing as much as possible to keep work on Friday low, then Friday consisted of last minute reports that needed a same day response - barstuards.
Why do property purchases always have to complete on a Friday? and why is there always last minute complications? it's not like these are residential properties or anything. Pfft.
Monday consisted of the aftermath of not enough peeps being in on Friday, sooo tiring.
Still need to decide where were gonna go for a holiday, it the first holiday together abroad! so it must be somewhere good.
Did consider Dominion republic, but can be a bit too dodgy,
Possibly Egypt, fairly cheap at this time of year and not too blisteringly hot, also apparently Sharma el sheik does diving classes and stuff, so a definite possibility.
Now for something more interesting ..... :)
