Last night I caught Sam cat peeing on the small throw rug I have by the front of his litterpan in order to keep him from tracking bits of litter throughout my room. I caught it early, thankfully, so there's no stain on the hardwood floor, but after I'd thrown said rug into the wash and put down another rug, he peed on that one too! So now I'm (mildly) worried as to what this might mean, as I always get when one of my cats does something Not Good.
My little boy is 12. He acts/eats/sleeps/etc. normally otherwise and doesn't seem to be in any pain; I couldn't feel anything when I examined him myself, and he didn't react out of sorts beyond any normal annoyed squirmy cat response to when your human is trying to feel up your Sensitive Bits.
I bought him a new litterbox today and I'm going to try redoing his litterpan arrangement, because I'm wondering if perhaps the smell has just built up over the years despite regular cleaning, and that's what's annoying him. Sam is very picky about his litter: if he thinks it's too dirty, he has been known to go outside the box before. And they say that plastic boxes retain the smell even after cleanups, and his current box is over 5 years old.
I really hope that's all there is to it...because I can't afford a vet visit. :/
In other news, Powerball is up to 425 mil. 10 - 13 - 22 - 26 - 31 - 11 will be the Big Winner - you heard it here first. ;) (So go buy yourself a ticket, 'cause you can't win if you don't play!)
And the ever-awesome
