I got an anti-Obama email forward from my mom tonight. *sigh*
Supposedly this one has to do with Obama blowing a wad of cash on some tricked-out tour buses for his campaign. What. Ever. How much has Romneybot blown on HIS buses? Newsflash: *any* president or candidate is going to have a tripped-up set of wheels. It's standard with the job. So unless somebody can offer concrete proof to me that the seats are made out of puppy hide or that Obama paid for the damn thing with the $5 that I sent his campaign back in May thereabouts, I really don't give a fuck what kind or how many tour buses he has. I have bigger things to worry about.
(Like where the hell am I going to stay once the inevitable family explosion occurrs...)
I replied back with "I call bullshit on this one." I'm seriously contemplating sending out another email to her, my brother and SIL telling them explicitly not to bring up this crap around me again, too. I'm so fucking sick of it. (Speaking of my brother, found out last night that he's going to be moving to TEXAS, of all places, next year. I'm not sure which state sucks more, Kansas or Texas...!)
*sigh* You know, if there are no good politicians around anymore, it's our own damn faults. We let the douchebags sneak in under the guise of religion and the protection of money, and now we've created a hydra-monster. A bunch of us can't even be arsed to get up off our butts and go vote, either from apathy or laziness. Few of us have the guts and money to run ourselves. We've come to worship our (twisted) ideologies more than we do the god we claim to believe in, and we've put profits ahead of people. It really is a lesser of two evils choice.
Considering that one side views me as less than human (that would be the Republicans), is it any wonder why I'm backing the other side? At least I know when the Democrats screw up they see sex as more of a pleasure than a punishment.
