So, what's gone wrong in life again?
Oh, only that I'm not going to have tassels for graduation after all, because the person who was supposed to send them WENT ON VACATION IN SICILIA INSTEAD. Because, obviously, four years of education culminating in a couple hours of boredom that could only be eased by the stroking of tassels means nothing, nothing at all.
I ordered a mint mojito at dinner. They did not provide me with it, because...they did not have mint. What...fancy restaurant...does not...have mint?
So what made up for it?
They gave my mother free champagne in recompense. And also, we finished off the ($60? $80?) tequila with the hand-blown agave bottle. First we cheered the ending of college. Then we cheered the Mexican Navy, for having provided us with top-notch tequila all year.
There's a lot I'm not going to miss about college. But drinking good quality tequila with good friends is nostalgia in the making.
