Finally. The inn room.
Seiji seems to be missing... and so was Van. They were probably still out there... Especially after the incident of some Disney mascot getting shot.
Like he cared...
Leon looked down at his two palms as he sat on the bed, the room was silent. The only light he had was that of the gloomy lampshades by the beds... The day was long. Too many things had happened... and much more is coming. He didn't know what else to think. What was more significant, worry about the other students as it was his job as the entire high school's only and remaining Council Member... or should he just forget it...
It wasn't his will to drop into this strange world... so why is he doing what he was doing back in his world... Duties... and duties. All over again... Didn't he hate everything? Before... or does he still until today? It was like sacrificing his soul all over again. He had never even felt an embrace from his own father. He was only there to be used. He vowed never to mention it again.
It was funny. Because of some miserable set of "magical" ears... His true self had become distorted even over a day. He revealed his darkest secrets to that one person... so happily, as if it was nothing! This wasn't the first time this happened in Fandango High, but this is the first time it felt so meaningful, even if it was... wrong. He revealed the one secret he ever kept, his being itself... his real identity. His real name. He now knew all that... He was significant for him. He wondered if he really understood...
He was certain that he does... He trusts him now... But that wasn't all to it. For yet another time of his life, he had felt comfort. He failed to fully appreciate comfort when he encountered it for the first time. He betrayed his old friends... For what? For nothing but a comforting lie he wanted to believe in... He had nothing anymore after that... He deeply regretted it... if only he accepted them earlier... if only he wasn't so stubborn. He dug his own grave. He wanted to apologize... If only he had another chance... Though for now, he thought of this chance with his new family member that very chance he can have. He will never let it happen again.
He vowed this time, he will never fail again.
For "her."
And for "him."
Most importantly... for "this person," who was with him now. He will protect him...
the promise
