mid-week update
(new set-up.. something bigger. I write too much to use that smaller one. I'll change the colors later)
so contrary to the past few updates (song, survey, or complaint), I'll actually talk.
the end of the year is totally wrapping up. everything is getting so busy with deadlines, papers to fill out, things to turn it, etc. and my schedule isn't letting up either: I have something probably everyday for the next month and a half- no joke. I guess it's better to be busy and having fun than not! enjoy the moments!!
anyways, here's what's been going on lately::
-monday:: junior high band auditions: my brother is playing trumpet! there you go guys, another one to add to your cult. but please, straighten him out. he's a little on the edge sometimes. (like his 5th grade girlfriend..? *sigh*)
-tuesday night:: drumline: so not a big deal right? go, play your excersises, yeahyeahyeah. well instead we have had four new people come try out and for those of you who don't play cymbals and aren't percussionists, it's really NOT that hard. (that's right, I said it. visuals.. different story) crash. mark time. crash. mark time. crash. mark time. oh did I mention crash? ok it's a *little* more than that, and does require coordination (hence the MARK TIME part of that). but if you really don't get the mark time part, just drop out now. you won't be marching. and you won't break the cymbals by playing louder (that's only me). so play louder!! (compare:: it's like beginner band all over again)
-upcoming:: UIL (friday): I am so ready to get rid of this music. seems like we've been doing it forever and practicing forever too. janda's been a little over the top, but I have to say that we do sound awesome. (next week): parents leave for hawaii!! I'm so jealous, especially since it's a free trip. but it's with my dad's company, so that would be a little awkward. who cares- it's still hawaii!! beaches!! get a tan!! just in time for... PROM (next weekend): once we *actually* get everything worked out, that's going to rock. I'm so excited.
