I've come to the conclusion that Mansfield must make people crazy. Either that, or all the people who are nuts come to Mansfield. Either way, its weird.
First of all, there's "The Crazy Girl", as Kate and I have dubbed her. Last year, we would see her walking down the sidewalk conversing with herself, including hand motions and head nods, and on one occasion when we went to play racquetball, standing in the middle of a dark gymnasium holding a basketball and talking to herself, while carressing it, or occasionally kicking it across the gym. This year, she's in my American Government class, and she's annoying as shit. One of those students who has an answer for everything, and its usually wrong. But I digress. She came into class the other day wearing a plastic spoon behind her ear. Why? As Mark put it, to catch the pudding when it falls from the sky.
One person does not a crazy campus make though. The other day, I was finishing a cigarette before class outside the building, and there were people around, each having their own private conversations, nothing that would catch my ear. As I'm standing there, I hear a girl say relatively loudly, and loud enough to grab my attention, "No, thank you, I'm alright." My attention piqued, I looked over. Standing there, all by herself is this girl that reminds Kate and I of Mrs. R.B. (always by herself at lunch reading books, there's also a kind of physical resemblance too). I looked for a cell phone. None. I looked for a headphone for a cell phone or an iPod. None. I looked for someone walking away from her that she could have been talking to. No one around. Seconds later, she walked away like she hadn't just spouted out a random response to anyone.
Creeped out, I finished my cigarette and went to class.
Why did Britney Spears name her baby Preston? Talk about a reason to be pissed off at a celebrity.
Reviews:
From Autumn to Ashes - Abandon Your Friends: Different from their older stuff, which means that I like it
Boy Sets Fire - After the Eulogy: Eh, some songs are alright, such as After the Eulogy
