Over Paid, Over Sexed, and Over Here
And Unfortunately I am none of those..
So after realizing that I havent updated my journals in forever..I decided tonight to be the night that I actually get off my rear end and do something about it.
To start off Im going to let you in on where my life is at the moment...
Im laying in my bed, listening to this: 1920's radio
So that is what's going on at this immediate moment
The stuff that has happened prior to previous statement continues as follows..
Work: My sup is gone for the week and a few days so I'm in charge again. I enjoy it, mainly because I like to take care of my troops.
School: I hate paying this shitty stuff off, but I have no other choice, BUT!!! I am super uber psyched for HST 315 next sem, 1928-1945 american history. MY FAVE!!!!! PLUS the professor teaches alot like I do, via powerpoint and videos. SO AWESOME! maybe he'll let me come in and help give a talk about the awesome 101st! hmmm we'll see. But my classes are going well, my playwriting is improving and my history is well..I need to catch up cause I dont want to get burned in this class, especially since its a 102 class.
So the stuff that happening in the near future continues as follows...
I've been getting my hands on some cool stuff. Michigan military documents. Such as newspapers, photos, letters, and so on. Which is awesome because its all local history. But! what I plan on doing with these things is cool, well I think it will be.
I want to write a book, non fiction. About exactly what I just wrote up above. Michigan military history... Ok so this is what I plan on doing..
Collecting all of these primary documents, all personal stories, going back to say 1812? and do research via the national archives and tell that one person's story from begining to end, and do that through out the wars. 1812, Civil War, Span Am, WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam. The personal side of history rarely doesnt get told, and michigan has such a rich military heritage that no one really knows, Im hoping that my book can say, wow, this guy that lives 5 miles away from me did this!? wow. Now im sure alot of you are going to be like..WHY DO YOU WANT TO DO THAT...well its just who i am, im a life long learner, and also a teacher, even though I dont have a degree yet...
Other than that...
Midterms the 19th, going up to state that weekend i believe too..and something else going on I think but i dont remember.
Anyways..thats about it on my plate , I'll write in another 100 years or so when I get a chance to.
