Bonjour! I have a whole slew of questions here - really, any and all feedback would be informative and appreciated. :) Of course, I've done countless google searches on these topics, but it really somehow just feels better to ask real-life people and get honest, real-life responses. You know? Anyway.
1. How difficult is it for foreigners to find a job? Specifically, I'm an American majoring in French. I would be happy with most any job, just to help support my husband-to-be, but I have a love of teaching that makes me want to consider offering private tutoring lessons. I could tutor in French (for incoming Americans, Brits, whatever), English, and Japanese. Does this sound at all do-able?
2. How easy it is to attain French citizenship? Is dual citizenship with the USA an option? Would my children automatically have USA and/or French citizenship?
3. I am planning on marrying a Frenchman once I am out of college. Say I graduate in May, fly over to France and move in with him in early June, and get married the beginning of July. How do I stay in the country? Is there a visa I need to get beforehand? How do I make it permanent, and how does being married to a French citizen play into everything?
Basically, any information would be lovely. Websites give lots of info and use legal jargon; it's a bit thick to read through. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't see it in the memories... and I'm extremely curious!!
Merci mille fois!
