Well Then....

Again I wasted my time and energy tryign to work for a band. The first time was last year and I got taken advantage of to the point that I was almost payign them to work. So I said I've had enough and left no strings attached and I still talk to one of the guys every once and a while. Now Jon's done it. Now I'm furious.

It's bullshit frankly. He asked me to do him a favor. I drew him a few logos thinking what the hell. I sent the rough scetches to him and there was one he loved. So I fixed it up and send it to him. He didn't like the colors so I spent like a hour or two fixing the colors till they were to his liking. Then he comes back and asks me to head his promotions and make more logos for him. So I started work on more logos. I came out with some fuckign amazing work. One of them took me like five or six hours to do. I sent him the logos and he was like awesome we're gonna print these soon. I figured hell that's pretty sweet my stuff is gonna be out there for real. A few days ago he comes back and is like We're changing the band name. I told him to fuck it and not to use my logos.

I feel betrayed. Like hardcore. I trusted him to stick with the name and to let me help him promote. This was gonna be my big break. My chance to really show what the fuck I could do. They had a decent name and his music was amazing. He has a huge talent. But it really hurts. I can't believe he did this shit. I mean it's one thing to change the name in the beginnign and if he had doen it before I made logos I woulda been like fine whatever, but no he waited till after I made him the first logo and started working on the second. So I told him the band is his and he shouldn't let the new drummer step on him. It's Jon's music, Jon's band and hell he had the original name for years. To stay with a name for so long and then just throw it away for nothing is just stupid.

Fuck this shit. No more bullshit tryign to get these gigs with people I know. Clearly the band kids I know are fucking flakes. I'm done. So if there's anybody out there with hardcore connections to a label anywhere gimme a shout out in a comment. I'll be interning with Equal Vision a year from now. Then all these kids who didn't appreciate the hard work and dedication to the promotion field can kiss my ass and beg for my help. One day I'm gonna get there. At the top, even though it'll be cold, I'll have my friends who stayed with me up there to huddle with. -Pipes
