Oh it's not just Rangers Pudgefic, it's Pudgefic, period... lots of teams. But since he spent the majority of his career in Texas, it necessarily spends quite a bit of time with the Rangers. AND THE UNIVERSE JUST MADE IT ALL COME FULL CIRCLE FOR ME.

I don't even know if I'm going to work it into the fic or not, since I already had the end mostly penciled in. But it just makes me feel good to know that the option for disgusting circularity is there if I want it. :D

The difference being that catcher is a much more valuable position than whatever combination of 1B/DH Giambi has been playing... so even a much-reduced Pudge is worth quite a lot to a Rangers team that just had to DL their starting catcher.
