Bonderman is shifting away from Dmitri’s friendly hug, hips first, and Farnsworth knows that he’s not scared.

I especially loved that.

I can't do that, usually. If someone goes to the Yankees, they're dead to me, period. Farnsworth is a special case due to that damn RPG.

You know what this makes me think of? A smoothly done movie adaptation of a book. It tells the same story the right way, just with a few things switched around and changed up to make it flow better in the different medium. I'm sure that's exactly what you were doing. ;)

(Ha, at this point my grandmother showed up to take me to an appointment to follow up with my teeth. Doctor spent five seconds on the "exam" and five minutes talking with me about the Tigers. Excellent. Which is all to explain why I haven't replied till now.)

This is, approximately, the best thing ever and it makes me very happy. I fail woefully at having anything particularly in depth to say, but I totally love this and will probably read it so many times I'll have it half-memorized. Yes, this is an excellent birthday present. Thank you!

Ha ha, it is kind of like a move adaptation of a book. Only. A slash fanfic adapation of a series of deranged RPG chat sessions. The sad thing is, that kind of WAS what I was doing. Take the bits that worked in the original as much as you can, but change it so that it fits the new format more smoothly. Plus I didn't have time to get into the backstory and the long circular conversations properly.

(I'll bet he didn't talk about TIGERS PORN)

Yay! I am glad you like (as that was, in fact, the point). I don't think you'll have to read it that many times to get it mostly memorized... a lot of it you know already! I am glad that we live in a world where internet porn about Tigers is an acceptable and possibly cherish-able birthday present. :)
