Upon going to work on Monday we had a customer show up in the valet entry to pick up her alterations. I don't know why these people think THEIR things would have been finished when no one was at work for 4 days. One woman called and actually asked why they weren't done. i answered as politely as i could saying mam, no one has been at work for 4 days and we have 4 days of work to get caught up as quickly as humanly possible. We appreciate your patience. But it is going to take us some time to finish everything. We had more problems with the sales associates and had to send out warnings to all of them that no specials would happen until all the work was caught up. We were forced to work Monday and Tuesday from 9 am to 8 pm to get everything done. today we are almost there and then one of the couture ladies has managed to "have specials" for three customers. Even though she was told not to do it. I really am having trouble with her. I need to figure out a way to make her as crazy as she makes us. Then her best friend calls to announce that we need to realize that it is a Jewish holiday next week and that we will have to make sure we have people's alterations ready for temple. then we find out that the garments she needs are her own daughters, and not just that, they are her old suits that we have to re alter to fit her daughter. Four really old suits. So she has her manager call me and ask if we will get the garments for Mrs. so and so ready for Sat. then we find out they are old clothes and then we find out they are her daughters and then when we go to work on them the jackets are disgusting inside. All the armholes are discolored and two of them completely destroyed and ripped out. the saleslady cried about it and said that her daughter doesn't have anything to wear to temple and we have to get them ready. One of the tailors refused to work on the one jacket it was so gross. i don't blame him. They are insane.
