Sorry for the late reply, was out of town.

But you are absolutely right about the Christians and sexism! While they scream and whine that making birth control more accessable to young women will "increase sexual promiscuity" and that we, as a nation, need to "protect young women and their purity".

Yet, you never hear about them protecting the purity of young men. By their logic, wouldnt the accessability of condoms increase young men's promiscuity? Why aren't they making a stink about that? Because Christianity is based on oppressing women, controlling their sexuality, and limiting their reproductive rights so they stay in traditional gender roles. There is a clear connection between how much choice a woman has in terms of pregnancy planning and how much freedom she has overall. In short, women who are allowed to choose if and when they get pregnant are more likely to pursue careers, go on to higher levels of education, make more money, and just overall have better lives. If you need proof, look at all the programs in Africa trying to tell young women that if they dont get pregnant, they can go to college, make more money, and make something of themselves! What is true in Africa is true everywhere! But heaven forbid women in this country or any country for that matter do well for themselves. That, according to Christians, would be against gods will. *sarcasm*
