Today I...
*froze my tail off. For real now...I live in Texas. Anything in the thirties (as in degrees) is not supposed to exist to us. (And if it's going to be this cold, can it at least snow? I hate the cold, but if it snows, I'll be content.)
*started the semester! Even though I was hoping school would be closed (those of you that it was closed for..LUCKY!) I'm actually pretty glad to have gone today. My Marketing class seems like it'll be interesting..it's an older gentleman teaching it, but he seems like he's going to be really interesting, which excites me! My Intermediate Accounting II class worries bme because I got a 'C' in Intermediate I, but the teacher seems like he's there to help us. My Management class, I can't say much about because we were only there for like 30 minutes..lol. My DISC class (It's a stats class) worried me because the website says "Do not take this class if you are taking more than 15 hrs [I'm not], have a heavy workload [this semester I should be fine, our hours get cut back significantly), or are taking advanced Finance, Accounting [this i am doing.] classes. This will be one of the hardest classes you take at the business school." That worries me, but it's mostly math, and I LOVE math. Plus, I was looking at our packet, and the first 60 pages or so are all things we did in finite math, so hopefully I'll understand it. I've just heard her tests are tricky, but hopefully I won't be tricked!
*told myself that I would try to be a great student this semester-so I think one of my goals for 2007 is to try my best at school (lately I've gotten into the mentality that school is easy for me, and that I don't really have to try, and that bit me in the behind in that accounting class). I want to read the chapters before the teacher goes over them, not the day before the test. I want to be well prepared for everything and have this be the semester that I shine. It'll be hard because I let myself be easily distracted by livejournal ;), xanga, myspace, facebook, etc., but I really want to prove myself (mostly to myself!) this semester.
