Back in the Can
Hullo, internet-- I hope you all had a reasonably happy series of holidays! Mine were off the hook, on which more later.
It's been busy times over here as we completed our move from dear old Chickenhouse to... Chickenhouse Mk II, Possibly With A Duck This Time.
Moreover, an executive decision was made to pull the plug on one of our three indistinguishable red hens, who ended up as a fabulous coq (poulet?) au vin. RIP, Big the Chicken. May your passing be an example to the others.
(Incidentally, egg production has rocketed upward lately.)
It's actually nice to be back in Australia, welcomed home by the world's most elegant cat and a completely different species of enormous spider from the usual enormous spiders that come into the house.
