OK... I've been remiss about posting things here. Life's been a little busy and it's been getting in the way of writing about it.
I've got pictures to upload from the Cherry Blossom & Kite Festivals, from my Jasen & Michelle's wedding, and from a few other things that've gone on.
I've got a new wayward traveler crashing with me. Some of you have met her already. I'm sure more of you locals will meet her soon enough. A bit different from my last arrangement, but so far just as pleasant and entertaining to have around. Granted, she's only been here less than a week, so I haven't had a chance to really get on her nerves. ;)
And as a quick, preemptive answer to any questions or suppositions that may be raised, no, there's nothing going on between us and there won't be. I'm doing for her what I've done for a few people before and what I'll certainly do for at least another few that come after--offering the same chance people offered me when I was trying to get on my feet in a new place. No strings attached and as much support given as possible.
Saturday night at Spellbound, I was booked for another wedding. As of right now, I'll be performing the ceremony when my friends Seth and Kelley tie the knot next January. Also had an inquiry from another friend about officiating for her and her fiance next March-ish. So, it looks like my wedding gigs are just rolling right on in... I'll take that as a small sign I should work more on the spirtual side of things in my life (gods know there's a lot of internal stuff going on that needs to be put in perspective).
Coming up in a couple of weeks, I'll be heading out to San Francisco for the 2010 Drupalcon. While out there learning more about the content management system I spend all day up to my elbows in, I'll be reconnecting with a few friends I haven't seen since high school and one of my favorite relatives. It'll also be my first time on the west coast.
The day job remains busy and alternately gloriously validating and downright frustrating. All depending on whether or not I can get clients and software and servers (and my brain) to cooperate with me. We're finally just about done with an office remodeling project, and I'm looking forward to being able to clean up all the drywall dust that's been accumulating all over everything.
Many more things are coming up or have passed and, as I have time, I'll try to get back to documenting them properly. There's also been a lot going on in the news that need to address. Things are getting scary out there in the arena of national politics... and we won't even talk about the international side of things. Then there's the weather and the shakes the earth's been having lately. (Seriously, lots of earthquakes going on... make me wonder if San Fran is still going to be part of the continental US by the time I make out there!)
I hope everyone out there has been having a fantastic time. I know I have, generally, and look forward to more awesomeness as the year rolls on.
