Busy Busy Busy

Shortly after I showed up at the office today (after glaring for a little bit at the still slowly growing and damp water stains on my living room ceiling and being very happy to get on the Red Line at the end of the line), an intern from one of our clients showed up the office doorstep.

Neither the boss nor I were expecting her... but, apparently, a plan had been made some time ago for her to show up and help with stuff. Stuff that neither of us had ready.

So I scrambled to get my stuff in order, gave a quick bit of training, and she's been here ever since data-entry-ing away. It's even being done correctly, so all is good.

In other news:

Tonight is Refresh DC. If you've got an interest in web design or development, show up. There's a ton of good people there and tonight's topic is running your freelance business. Location and everything can be found at the above link.

And thanks to everyone who's been giving me feedback on the informal poll I've been conducting. We'll all see the results of that on 8 March (or, perhaps, 9 March if you're not out at Spellbound when things play out.) Already there have been some interesting discussions that fall very much in line with things running through my head. This is good. And, no matter what, it'll make for a good story some day. :)

Also, can it be spring yet? I moved south to get away from the cold. (Of course, too much further south and it's just too darn hot during the summer.)
