Of course, The Management at Fireside Park Apartments didn't call me back by 10 a.m. Again, it seems they didn't bother to listen to their messages

Even my contractor, who does a really good job, absolutely refuses to cut out drywall and replace it. He would rather mud and sand 6 times. I don't get it.

Time from job start to job completion, yes. But he gets to go work on another job while it's drying. I think that's why he does it.

Most of the ceiling was replaced. For some reason, they seem to insist on covering all the drywall with mud.

And in the bathroom they went and replaced the 3/4 inch drywall section with 1/2 drywall. Now they're using a ton and a half of mud to "even it out."

The mind boggles.

I grew up around carpenters and electricians. I helped put an addition on my parent's house and was constantly involved in the (constant) fixing of the house. I could have fixed the kitchen collapse of 2005 in one weekend with one trip to Home Depot and the help of two friends.
