I am shocked.

I actually got a call back from someone when they said they'd call back.

Even more impressively, they agreed that what I've been going through is unacceptable.

And even more surprisingly, they're willing and able to do something about it.

Contractors are showing up tomorrow to fix the ceiling. Then they'll be back on Friday to paint.

And then next week the regional manager gets back into the region and we can talk about me getting some of my hard earned cash back for all this crap.

Aside from the obvious, I think the best thing is she actually asked if my cabinets had always been white. Apparently my apartment is the only one where some idiot painted over the nice wood stained cabinets with crappy white paint. And they actually looked at stuff--they even noticed the poor condition of the exhaust fan in the bathroom (which has been off-kilter and a little noisy since I moved in).

They are also in possession of the six page, fully illustrated account of (most of) the problems I've had at Fireside Park since I moved in there.

This could all be turning around... if there actually are changes in process, I may not have to move.

I'm so not counting on that, though. (Besides, they'd have to lower my rent, too.)
