One of these days I'll learn to never take a moment to relax, to think that my point has finally gotten through, to imagine that the work I was promised would actually be done.
Apparently, today is not that day.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe all of you can help me out and see something I'm not seeing here.
Check out this "before picture" of the water damage as of June 27 (you know, the first day it was supposed to be fixed):
And now look at this one I took shortly after I got home today:
So, is it just me, or is there little to no noticeable difference.
Oh, wait... there is the
slight reddish color in the new drywall mud they smeared on the ceiling over one of the major cracks. (It matches the drywall mud that's now ground into and dried on my rug.)
There was also no apartment entry notice and absolutely nothing done to the bathroom ceiling. Though they did, apparently, look at it because my shower curtain is all pulled back.
I had so hoped I'd be able to leave a nice message with the Fireside Park office saying "Thank you for finally getting it right!" Instead, I had to leave yet another "Seriously, WTF were you thinking!" message.
After they don't call me tomorrow morning, I'll call them in the afternoon and get on their case some more.
*sigh* I'm probably so wasting my time with all this... none of it will actually be fixed before I move out...
