Considerably better end of the day
For some reason, Friday, yesterday and today have been absolutely insane at the office. And it doesn't look like the insanity is going to stop any time soon. The funny thing, of course, is that tomorrow appears to be my last day there to help out.
Just about two weeks of relative quiet while you have extra help there and then, right before that help leaves, tons of work! That's almost funny.
Ah, well, guess that's the joy of the life of a temp. :)
Got out of the office just in time to meet fatesfolly on time out in Rockville. Big kudos to her for a delicious barbecued dinner at The Urban Barbecue right down Rockville Pike, nestled behind some other places. Tasty stuff, indeed. Hearty chili cheese fries.
That was followed by a lot of good and fun conversation.
It is, indeed, always nice to actually meet the people that come through here.
Which reminds me--there are a few of you who do come through here who I haven't met yet. Now, I'm not going to glare too accusingly at those who live far, far away... but some of you live more or less right down the street and I've never actually met you. You know who you are. *glare*
The bottom line is this: We really should get together. Pick a time and a place and just hang out. I do want to meet you--and your friends. And I want you to meet my friends.
Together we shall take over the world!

Not surprisingly, I haven't been called back by the "new" apartment management. Since tomorrow is my last day at the temp job, I very well may be able to just sit in the office all day on Thursday until someone in authority pokes their head out.
Ah, well, at the absolute least, I suppose the big "everyone Kier knows on LJ" party could be a proper housewarming at the next place I end up...
