No, really, I absolutely have to perfect the art of
bilocation.
I'm really torn about what I should do tonight.
I've been interested in the new play the Rude Mechanicals are doing up in Laurel since I heard about it a while ago. They're doing a really neat take on
A Midsummer Night's Dream. I've absolutely loved the other Shakespeare stuff they've added their own twists to, and I expect this one is no different. The Rudes are a great bunch of people and I've had a faboo time the last few times I've made the run up to Laurel to see shows and hang with them afterward. It would also give me a chance to spend more fun time with
gore_whore_5 and
spirit_o_fire, who I don't get to see anywhere near enough (do hope to change that significantly in the summer months, though).
And then... then there's my "usual" first Friday night stuff.
Ecumenica has been one place where I can re-connect with a good bunch of people I met at Chiaro and through some other people from there. It's always a blast and something interesting always happens. For example, last month as I was trying to get out the door, I ended up being dragged
up on stage by a (really kinda cute and very drunk) complete stranger. The challenge for this month, of course, was going to be to see if she has any memory of me at all. Ecumenica is also one of the handful of things I can semi-regularly drag my buddy Aaron to. He lives just a couple buildings down from me in the same apartment complex but I don't get to see him much (between his crazy-ish work schedule and my laziness, it just doesn't happen). There's plenty of other draws as well... like always meeting new people no matter what (even if it is only in passing). The night draws people from so many different circles it's great.
Of course, what I should do is stay home and not spend the $5-$20 I'd spend on going out. Maybe do some cleaning. Rest. Send out more resumes. You know, practical things.
*sigh*
Why do I feel like I'm going to end up flipping a coin before the end of the day to decide?
Stupid social life. :P
(Not that I'm complaining or anything... it's really nice to have one--and one that's still going strong--after those post-college years when I had nothing going on.) :)
