(Holy Timeskip Batman!)

I never thought I'd have kids. Seriously. That was something that just wasn't going to happen. Now I have four. Three girls and a boy. A pubescent girl. A girl who thinks she is just like her big sister, only with better fashion sense. A girl who is still adjusting to being in a family again and trying to figure out just why her birth mother isn't coming back. A boy who drools, sleeps, eats and then proceeds to go through 13 diapers a day. You'd think, with all this going on in the house I'd want to get out...but I don't. Well, getting out is good but it's almost time for me to go back to work. I don't want to.

Kentarou is almost 5 months old. At the end of July I have to go back. It's only part time for now, but I don't want to miss anything. He has been rolling around a lot and it is so cute. It feels different with him, maybe because this is the first time we've been able to go through the baby years. I am enjoying it so much - even waking up twice a night to feed him or just to cuddle him.

The adoption was finalized finally. It didn't take as long as when we adopted Eve, but I was still worried. I was afraid I'd fall in love with these kids and then have something happen. Kentarou doesn't know what's going on, but Noriko has been so quiet. She's been spending a lot of time in her room, reading through One Night in the Coral Sea. I guess her mother used to read through it with her at night before bed. The other night she said she'd see her mom again one day, but they were both happy that she was living with us. She fell asleep using me as her pillow that night. I went to bed and when I woke up in the morning, she was laying at the foot of our bed.

The other two...they are just special sometimes. Kanya is pre-menstrual and has been destroying the guys in the dojo and then crying about it after. I swear, if Genichirou had a biological daughter, this would be it. Ever since the day we brought her home, they have been making the :| face at each other. I still have to work on Genichirou to get him to relax his whole "NOT DATING TILL SHE"S 30!! :|" speech. She started crying over that too. Eve is just always happy, unless someone doesn't buy her matching outfits. Then she starts to wonder where their fashion sense is and tries to teach them. She is 8. She has tried to teach her father many times. The look on his face is very amusing.

God, I'm rambling. I think I've done this after every adoption though. It still gets to me when they call me "mom". And when they call Genichirou "daddy" it's so cute. He is the perfect father. He is so good with them.

Mrs. Campbell called and said that they'd be landing sometime Friday night. She said there was no way she was missing another anniversary. So...she's offered to watch the kids all day on Sunday. I asked if she was crazy, she said that it wasn't fair that your mom and Yuki's mom get grandma time all the time and now it's her turn. She also hinted that they would be planning something for us Sunday night and that there would be meat.
