The first day of work was actually pretty good! I felt comfortable real quick, and everyone of the new people who went to orientation with me were nice. Cashier training went alright, it was frustrating trying to pass the first test on speed (I had to do it 10 times!) but eventually I got there. The registers are fairly intuitive... it's just trying to figure out coupons and shit that is probably going to be the hardest.
Skipping on, I work around 20 something hours this week, which isn't bad, seeing as it's training and some simple shit. Me and this other asian boy were the only 17 year olds who were new, but I never once felt like a loser or an outcast because I was too young. My supervisor is this cute little gay black guy named Devin I think.
All in all, I think I did fine. Tomorrow I work from 5pm till 9:50pm. Funny thing is, people the entire day were only asking ME questions and not any of the other older new employees standing beside me. Am I just more approachable? Lol, who knows? I pointed some people to where I thought the bridal registry was and I was right THANK GOD. lol, it would've been embarassing to have been wrong.
Anyway this is a boring entry so I'll stop it right here. Petra try not to get too damn drunk and log on later.
