A curious thing...what's buried out there in the yard?
I now live in on the second floor of two-story building with 4 separate apartments in it. My downstairs neighbor is an elderly man with still-darkish hair that got bored with just growing on top of his head and starting seeking other spots. He's pleasant enough, works as a crossing guard up the street. He's been here the longest at 11 years. His flat has a small patio beneath an awning with acess to a little side yard. It's the yard that I wonder about. I noticed it when I first took out the trash - a mound in the middle of the yard...it must have disturbed fairly recently, since grass was only just beginning to grow back. Just above the mound is a thick brick of a stone that looks like a marker. Seeing it put me in mind of a little grave for a family dog-

I know my imagination is just a little too free...I start to wonder about it not being a dog under there or an eccentric burying something silly, like old garden tools or love letters...
