Unless it's an absolute emergency, it's completely selfish and thoughtless to force yourself to go to work sick while you're contagious. Not only is the infected person less productive while they're sneezing and coughing all over the common areas where other people have to go, but they spread their filthy contagion to everyone else they work with. Then their infected co-workers start dropping off one by one. So instead of just one person missing a day or two, an entire office is out.

Which is why I'm home today, a victim in a bug's relentless march.
