Ok, the Mission Impossible III media blitz is in full swing and already I'm sick of the seizure-inducing pop-up ads and self-indulgent banners of Tom Cruise leaping off fake buildings.

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't it reek slightly of desperation when they saturate the every single outlet like this -- as though they're not confident enought that the concept won't stand on it's own, they have to brow beat you with trailers and Phillip Seymore Hoffman screaming in front of a CGI explosion before you're finally brainwashing into believing that, yes, this will be the coolest movie event of the summer, or you just give up and drop $10 to see another formulaic action movie.

Of course, I am kinda bitter.
