The professor sent me an email last week with the subject line, "Big plans for the solstice?"
I laughed to myself, reminded how few people really mark the days that way.
It makes me sad to think most people only see the outside when they're walking to and from their cars, spending their days shut inside drab offices until they go home and spend the rest of the day insulated there too. I hope I never slip into that.
