First days in AZ
>>Yesterday was lots of runnin around. Went to Mom's blood test appointment, picked up some toys and scratching post for Mikei, came home for a bit, went to Gabe and Seth's Special Olympics practice, then came home for dinner and walked Serena.
>>Today was a lazy start. I was awake, but didn't get out of bed till 11-ish. I put up my pretty sakura window gels in the big window over my door. Came out pretty nifty! Gran'ma came to take me to Dakota's school around 1pm. His 1st/2nd grade class was making cranes for OshKosh B'Gosh's Cranes for Kids program (they'll donate clothes to tsunami victims in Japan). I wound up getting into my default Amanda-sensei mode and was...a hit. ^_^' I really missed that part of me...and my kids. All the kids wanted me to tell them how to say things in Japanese or spell their names for them...during question time at the end, most of their questions were about the earthquake and tsunami, though. OH! One low blow was "you're not a kid...you're an adult!" x_x Luckily, I was wearing my Sensei Armor, so it missed piercing my heart. Makes me sad to think of it though. T_T A happy thing was, by the end of my hour and a half with them, I had a little girl running up to hug me and ask me a question (in that order) before she left for the next class. <3 Maybe I do want to be a teacher of some sort...
>>After that...I wasn't that productive. I think the boys came home, Oh! Yes I WAS productive! I cleaned in the kitchen, I started re-doing my AZ taxes, fed the boys...then we went for a walk with Serena again. Oh! After that, we had little brownie sundaes and watched Spring Wipeout. ^_^' That was fun.
>>Now, I'm getting my taxes and name change forms all ready to send off tomorrow. Also started my Search again. We'll see if I make it to the end this time... Now, I think I'll get ready for bed...or find my shorts in a box I left in January because it is getting WARM here! I'm wearin T-shirts, but I wish I didn't have these long pants on! Xp Bleh!
