Yeah, that sounds like a Japan move to me.

Mine was pretty bad too, though thankfully I had this super-supportive friend who scrubbed my kitchen top-to-bottom the night before the move and made things infinitely better. She's the coolest person ever. <3

For me too, it was chaos to pack up (who knew I had so much stuff!?) and I still miss my collection of America's Best Non-Required Reading anthologies... but for the most part, I'm happy I threw away an entire apartment's worth of stuff. :)

It sucks that there was so much last minute stuff to take care of, but from the sounds of things, CG was there with you every step of the way. :) Don't worry too much about how to make it up to him - you've got an entire lifetime to bake him all the Christmas cookies and sweets he could ever want. ^_^

Once you get settled in at home, would you like to skype chat sometime? I really miss you and, man oh man, have I got stories to tell! :D

Ooooh yeeeeaah.... you DID have a pretty rough move too. Huh. Yeah, wish I had that girl around to help me out. ;/

Thanks, Prancer. That makes me feel a bit better. ^_^

When is a good time? I really don't know what the schedule is around here yet... except for Friday and Saturday. Those are busy.

Yup, yup, that girl is awesome, I tell ya. I'd introduce you to her, but I wouldn't want you to steal my BFF away, she's that amazing.

Glad I could cheer you up a bit. ^_^ If you want to consider ways to conquer your stuff (unpacking in to a new place is a better opportunity to sort through your things than when packing up to leave), I've started reading a fantastic book called "The Joy of Less, A Minimalist Living Guide: How to Declutter, Organize and Simplify Your Life" written by the blogger, Miss Minimalist. Her blog also includes a massive list of great places to donate old stuff (here). I've also been reading articles in another blog called Zen Habits, that gives easy advice on how to simplify one's life ( ... )

Aaaaw...I don't think anyone can take away your BFF-iness, but...I might borrow her...>_>

Unpacking probably is the easier time to do it...especially since you'll see the new place in which all your stuff has to fit...but I have to pay to ship all that stuff here first. :/ Jarrad sent me an estimate last night: $500+. >_< That's a lot to spend to get rid of it when it gets here. Hrmph. I might try to have him go through it again. I feel awful for asking him to do even more...but it could save us a few hundred dollars.

Yeah, I remember you telling me about a book you read a while ago about keeping your apartment Zen-tastic... I think it was written by a frequent traveler or something.

Oki doki. How about tomorrow? Or before 3pm (MST) on (my)Friday?
