so, tonight was billy joel with cait lisa kat and kajal... it was basically the best thing in my life ever.
Some highlights include:
not knowing how to get out the middle seatbelt in my backseat because i never have to use it.
being 20 minutes late to the wachovia center because of a stupid tractor trailer that decided to collapse on 95.
having the amazing middle-aged man behind us encourage us to stand up and dance at all times.
having the group of drunk folks who were, i hope, from allentown go crrrrrazy when he sang the song.
watching billy joel wear a backwards baseball cap and strut around the stage and screw with the mic stand hardxcore during big shot. also hearing him end the song by crossing his arms across his chest and saying 'peace.'
hearing billy joel say that philly is full of 'sick bastards' because captain jack is incredibly popular at his philly shows.
hearing the whole stadium full of people sing along to piano man
being really proud of myself for knowing ALMOST all the words to 'we didnt start the fire' when even the old people who think they <3 billy joel did not.
buying one of the ripoff tshirts from a street man who smelled like pot rather than spending $35 for a real one inside.
having a dutch woman tell me to drive more aggressively, and then proceed to try to cut me off in her SUV
seeing the crazy lady in the car next to us talk to herself and wave her arms wildly
getting off at an exit that was really just an entrance to another highway while trying to get to the wawa we could see somewhat near the road on the way home.
REALIZING WE WOULD ALL STILL DO BILLY JOEL EVEN THOUGH HE'S OLD AND KIND OF GROSS
