oh yeah!
Greetings from ze beach! Boy are we having a fabulous time!!
Yesterday we surprised the girls by arriving early . . . I must say my head probably swelled a little because I was able to find the house by the map, without having to call the house for directions. =) It was soooo good to see the ocean, and hear the waves crashing. The house is right on the beach . . . we just right off the decks onto the beach and into the surf. It was pretty chilly and windy (of course) yesterday, so we went up to Jockey's Ridge to fly kites and play in the sand. I kept running back and forth between the dunes, just enjoying the view. Mrs. W got Steph and I a Veggies Tales kite with Bob and Larry on it . . . so of course we had to fly it. It flew better than any of the other kites and we had such a laugh, because it was the flimsiest looking of all the kites. This morning I got up early to watch the sunrise over the ocean . . . it was just beautiful! I'm so glad I got up early. Today was filled with a little shopping, and enjoying the beach. We hadn't gotten in the water until this evening. After supper we decided it was time to get in. We about froze. We just kept saying, "We must be idiots!" and laughing about it. Mr. and Mrs. W were standing on the deck cheering us on and laughing! After we had enough we ran and hopped into the hot tub to warm up! :-) Tomorrow the four girls are driving down to Hatteras and then in the later afternoon Mr. W is going to teach us all to body surf. Should be fun and I'm looking muchly forward to it. . . .
