Please join Homegrown Alabama at the Ferguson Center at 3:00 this
Thursday, May 3rd, for an open-air Farmers Market. There is no better
study break than getting something to eat, and fresh food enlivens the
mind and the body. We are proud to bring you farmers from all over the
state who will be selling things such as:
• Tomatoes
• Honey
• Turnips
• Onions
• New Potatoes
• English Peas
• Collards
• Soaps
• Lotions
• Peaches
• Jams & Jellies
• Pastries
• Eggs
• Cheese
Please join us at the Ferguson for a market day of food and fun, with live
music, and farmers from Thorsby, Berry, Northport, Tuscaloosa, Clanton,
Duncanville, Coker, Brent, and Fayette.
We’ll have recipe cards to give you ideas for meals, and we’ll have a
chef on hand to get you started. This is a great opportunity to eat a
little better and learn more about local farmers, produce, and dishes.
