I used to like Monday mornings...

I had a fairly nice weekend, even though it rained for most of it. The
humidity was too high, so paint wouldn't dry in the camper. Instead we
cleaned mostly. Ryan and I hiked for a short while. I don't have tennis
shoes or hiking shoes so we didn't go very far. (I am getting new shoes
this week.) We found a baby box turtle and took him back to the campsite
for Kaylee to see. We let him loose there. I have pictures I can post
later..I'm not really sure how to attach pictures by email.

I'm in somewhat of a bad mood at the moment for more than one
reason...some of which I won't post publicly (once again, I don't know how
to alter options when posting by email). I let Warren go last night at
Mom's house. A week or so ago he flipped out on me and attacked my face
and wouldn't let go. He's attacked me before (including in the face) but
not to the point he scared me. Last night he pushed a floor lamp over
onto my head. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but the cat is destructive.
Occasionally he is a little angel, but most of the time he is a terror.
I felt bad all night about leaving him out alone all night. He's never
been alone outside before except when his mom left him.

I went over this morning to see him, but he wasn't around. Mom got up to
get Kaylee this morning and he wasn't around. Dad said he saw him late
last night though...

Hours later...

Dad called me and said Warren came up on the patio and came to him right
away and started rolling around and being all friendly. Dad picked him up
and took him inside and gave him to Mom at which point he went nuts and
started hissing and growling. She put him back outside because he was
throwing a fit. She called me a bit later and said that he wanted in and
she shut the door on him. He won't come when she calls (it's a rarity
that he comes anytime anyone calls).

Warren was not meant to be a house cat.

So now I am looking for a new kitten. Shelters are wanting $100 apiece
for a cat. I find that a bit steep when I can get them for free from the
newspaper. Given...the shelters have a lot of costs, but $100 for a cat?
For an adult that includes neutering or spaying, shots and worming. In
the cities it normally includes microchipping as well. For kittens you
normally get a $20 refund for proof of neutering or spaying. Neutering or
spaying costs a lot more than $20. Living in the area we do microchipping
is unnecessary...personally I think it is unnecessary anywhere, but that
is me.

It is now 4:30...half an hour til I can go home..

I am going to stop at mom and dad's house on the way home to check on
Warren and get a copy of the newspaper to look at the classifieds.

For dinner I think I am going to make chicken breasts, stuffing and some
sort of vegetable. Chicken breasts baked in ranch dressing or BBQ sauce
sound good.

I cleaned out under the sink last night and I washed all of my
vases...they are ready to put under there with all of the cleaning
supplies/houseplant supplies/fish supplies.

The betta's bowl needs cleaned and two ivy's I bought need potted. The
kitchen floor needs mopped and all of the stuff from the bathroom needs
put back in the bathroom from where I cleaned it yesterday.

I might make Ryan move the air conditioners tonight as well... We bought
one for $20 that gets really cold, but it also leaks-towards the inside of
the house...we need to figure out how to make it stop doing that, so until
then I want the non-leaky air conditioner in the living room.

Anyway, I am going home. :P
