Introduction

So, my first post. I guess I'll start by explaining how I'm going to do this. For each recipe I'm first going to explain how to select and prepare all the ingredients needed first, then it'll be recipe time, Then I'll explain how to make your own for the packaged stuff. So It might be a while between recipes, but I'll link everything where appropriate so It'll be easier for people to read when I've got a few recipes on here. The first time my grandfather allowed me in the his kitchen, he had me memorize his most important rules. They are for safety and to ensure everyone has fun. As much as I know think that I';m too old to be told such rules now, I sometimes forget them and end up getting injured. Klutz, I suppose. The first and most important rule (according to my grandfather) is that The cook cooks, and those who do not cook do the dishes. Which apparently was why he started cooking in the first place. The second rule is that the cook gets to eat as they are coking, and at dinner gets first dibs on anything they cooked, or anything that was bought. The third is to be safe. Be careful with knives, Be cautious with hot things and when moving behind someone in the kitchen have a hand on them so they know you're there. The fourth, and last is to remember food safety. There's no use making a fabulous meal if everyone gets sick from it. And tie your hair back! it's too damn long and no-one wants a hair ball. The first recipe I'm going to make will be a favorite of my grandfather's whenever a big match was on telly- Nachos
