So, I'm sporting my Obama t-shirt here at work and watching the live stream from CNN.com. Unfortunately, I'm boxed in next to two Republicans and my co-worker isn't here today to watch with me so I'm on my own. I'm sure the tv is on in the break room but I'd rather watch with my headphones on since I'm switching channels. I'm going from CNN to MSNBC and some local channels.
It is an exciting day. I think that this country needs a change and I'm being realistic about it that everything isn't going to happen right away. I'm very aware of that and I'm not holding Barack Obama on a pedestal but I am ridiculously happy. This is my first election where I've really been aware of everything happening. I wasn't as involved in Kerry's even though I voted for him. I think it's just a really exciting time and I think that all we can do is hope for the best.
I have a lot of hope for this administration. It is a historic day and I wonder what everyone else is doing today if you're "celebrating" this day in your own way. What are you guys up to?
Edit: Uh, Barack H. Obama? Didn't want to go all the way there?
