Little explanation on the Chinese class

I miss my relatives's old home before they moved. Mom says the move was because they were running low on money, so at this new residence, their rent is now half of what it was before.

It's still nice and big, but it little too narrow and it has three floors. I liked it better when it was just one floor. I feel sorry for their dog. She's tied up all the time downstairs and doesn't get to do much. She must be bored. I think my aunt takes her out on walks a few times, but then ties her back up. ;.;

I was wrong. Taiwan has changed over the years. It's now much more industrious, and they even have a monorail in the city. And it's not so hot. Mom kept complaining about it, but if we're going to be staying here until the 13th of August, deal with it. I'm going to enjoy our vacation without complaints.

Ever since we've arrived, we've been eating out a lot. It's fine with me, I always love seeing the sights of the city and trying out all the different restaurants.

Yesterday Mom took me to the Lasik center. For my laser operation. I've learned a new lesson. Everything in Taiwan is much more inexpensive than in the USA. It has taken me this long to know it. So of course, I'll be having my laser eye operation here instead of in the States. Fine by me. My goal is to be totally independant of my glasses.

Chinese class has been fine so far. Not too difficult being two hours long, which is enough for me. The instructor doesn't speak a word of Chinese, but we get by. Heck, I was surprised to learn that a few of my classmates are like me. Some of them are even from California and also don't know a lot of Chinese. I feel right at home. XD

The instructor is an older man, but he's very kind and patient. We read each chapter, then practice writing the words while memorizing them. It's like Chinese 1 class, but being in that type of environment, makes it easier for me to jog the characters that I had forgotten into my brain.

Yesterday we went to the school by bus. Taking a taxi everyday is too expensive. By next week, I need to know my way around and take the bus myself on the way there. I'm scared I'm going to get lost. T_T Taipei is a huge city. It's easy for a tourist to get lost. T_T

Dad had already signed up my brother to resume taking saxophone lessons, and not only that, math lessons as well. He also bought me some new clothes. I ended up throwing away two pairs of pants that were really shabby.

*sigh* I hope AX was fun for everyone who went. I'm really looking forward to next year's.

More to come later.
