Here it is -- Candyland for Christmas! There was an emergency grocery run for more frosting in the middle of it, but we didn't panic, and we were ready in plenty of time. I'm pretty happy with it, both on its own and in the overall run for the year.
There's one that's really elegant and detailed, a bird house on a krispy-treat branch with fondant birds, but it seems rather cool and soulless. The bird house is from my arch-rival of many years. We also have some competition from another group from our own division, who made their house into a church where Santa is in the process of marrying a couple of adorable elves. They've got high concept and charm, though I think it's a bit cluttery.
I hope I'll get a chance to post more photos of the other competitors, but for now, Candyland feels like a sweet success.
