At the request of 
rainbowchills, here is an update on my Mom's Phoebe Cates sighting on Friday:
Turns out it was really more of a stalking! My Mom saw a segment on Good Morning America last week in which Phoebe was talking about a store she had opened up in the Upper East Side. It is called Blue Tree.
Since there was nothing on the agenda for Friday, she decided to check it out. As it turned out, Phoebe happened to be in the store that day and was the one that buzzed her in the door.
So my Mom told her that she saw her on GMA, was in town from Philly, and came to check out her store. Phoebe told her that the segment was taped almost 3 months ago and that people have been coming in looking for the items she spoke of, but they no longer carried them.
Not sure on many details after that because my Mom was quite excited as you can imagine. She kept telling me that had to hold back from telling Phoebe that she loved her husband (Kevin Kline) and "Dave" was one of her favorite movies. She did buy some things though (which I was so worried she just went up there to gawk and not buy!) and rumor has it I am getting a present from this place. Can't wait to see what it is!
Today is the Sex and the City tour, and I am DYING to hear how that goes.
