You just want to post pictures within your LiveJournal entries, right?
Start a new entry, and use the "Insert/Edit image" button in the bar on top of the input window. It's right in the middle, between the "LiveJournal user" and the "Input media" buttons. Push it and a new little window opens in the front. On the first page, there is something about a URL and the picture size and so on, but nothing you could use right now. To upload a picture from your computer, use the "upload" tab at the top of the window. Select the "Image from file" option and then select your pic from your computer. Then "upload". The picture is supposed to appear on the above mentioned first page of the little window, then. Now the URL and most of the data are filled in and you can change the size of the picture, if you want, by typing in new digits. Just make sure the little "lock" symbol is locked when you change the size. That will keep the width and height relation intact. When you're done, just klick OK. The little window shuts down and your pic appears in your entry. When you klick on the picture once and chose the "Insert/Edit image" button again, you can change the properties like size or alignment again. I think the webspace for uploading pictures is limited, so maybe it's better not to upload them in FULL size. Just make a smaller copy of the original picture file before you upload it. What else...? Sometimes it's a little bit complicated to incorporate a picture into the text beautifully. But with a little bit practice you'll understand it soon! No big deal! =)
