This was another awesome weekend - even if things didn't always go according to plan.

As you may have seen, I got my robot tattoos on Friday afternoon. Initially, he told me that they would take 1 1/2 - 2 hours from start to finish. We booked the appointment at noon to ensure that I would make my son's last baseball game....well, they ended up taking FIVE HOURS! I was devastated about missing Dom's game but he seemed unphased by it. Also...these tattoos were supposed to be a surprise, but Jeff ended up parking right in front of the tattoo studio downtown when he was going for his after work Friday beer. My bike was on the porch and I was being tattoo'd right in front of the window. I didn't see him, but he saw me and immediately parked a little further down the street hoping I wouldn't notice. However, when I finished up with the first robot and took a break I saw his car and called him...he came running out of the bar and he admitted that he'd figured it out. He loved the tattoo idea and I could see him getting a little teary eyed. The pain level wasn't too bad...at first. However, there was a lot of color shading and so by the end, my jaw was hurting from me grinding my teeth so hard. Also, by the second tattoo it seemed like all my body's natural pain killers were already used up and I just had nothing left it me. For those reasons, I have to say these little tattoos were more painful than my chest.

We went out to dinner and had drinks Friday night. Yesterday, we took my oldest son to see Super 8 and out to dinner in Coeur d' Alene. Today, we brought my parents some lunch and cake, napped, and now we're relaxing and watching movies. I couldn't ask for a better weekend...even if we didn't go camping as planned thanks to the fact that it looks like we'll never get summer in these here parts!
