My grandmother, the one who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer less than a year after overcoming breast cancer and less than a week before my grandfather died, has been on morphine for the last little while for her pain. She's been in wheelchairs the last few months more often than she'd like, and she hasn't enjoyed the medications either. The final straw came this morning when her hospital-assigned nurse visited her and said that tomorrow she'd have to have a full catheter. "That's what you think" Grandma said, and hours later she died.

How. fucking. awesome.

I don't think I'll be able to go to her funeral, it depends on the airline bereavement rates. Hopefully, well, they won't completely suck. *crosses fingers*

Edit: My dad is lending me the money for a plane ticket, so I will be able to go. Yay! I'd feel like dancing except, y'know, I'm going to a funeral.
