HOORAY! I got a speeding ticket today. $147, to be paid within 20 days. There goes my last paycheck from Trader Joe's. I was going to pay one of my many overdue bills with that.
I was listening to my iPod when he pulled me over. Luckily, he didn't notice. I'm pretty sure it's illegal. But you know what song I was listening to? Fresh Feeling, by the Eels. I was in a great mood, and I was going into town to hand in my applications. I was trying to be responsible. I was trying to take control of my fucked up life, and I was punished for being too stressed out to take it easy on the road.
I fail at everything. I hate my life. I hate everything.
The officer was really nice, though. Very polite and he spoke very gently and slowly. He went back to his car, and I broke down into tears. I stayed there for about five minutes, just sobbing into my hands.
I quit smoking for a month the other day, but I just bought a pack of cigarettes today with my last six dollars. Gonna smoke the whole thing. Fuck it.
