Self Diagnosis
It was (still) the hype of another foreign genre in my Mother Land and being me who has a short attention and interest span, I eventually grew tired of it. I no longer want to join the bandwagon. Not that I did not enjoy it; It was a good run after all. It's just time to go back to my hatsukoi.
So I asked a friend of mine for any recommendations but almost everything she shared with me were anime series or old movies which didn’t really piqued my interest. I want to see real, of the same era, human beings.
I still tried to watch some from her limited list of recos, and after watching several movies and live actions, I stumbled upon this movie about schools and skirts of jellyfish and a beautiful cross-dresser man. Yeah, how unfair for a man to be prettier than a girl like me. Lol.

Anyway, good thing that the site where I watched these movies and series is pretty detailed from the synopsis down to the casts, making it easier for me to track down this talented actor’s other movies, and eventually his co-stars.
Which led me to watch him as a redhead yellow octopus assassin. That shy, chibi lead guy is kawaii, I must say. But he did not held my interest for so long. What is the problem with me, really.

Along the way I watched a fairly recent movie of a familiar actor who could pass as the taller version of a chibi childhood crush of mine.

But seeing him getting beat up and mixed up with these drug lords got me thinking where his kakkoii self when I (and he, obviously) were younger went. As expected, I did not finish watching the movie and did not know then the connection between the phone, the drugs, and the cicadas’s cousins.

I eventually discovered an actor, my first senpai after renewing my interest to the Land of the Rising Sun. I got to see him morphing from your regular mid/highschool cool guy, dark prince, and one week friend to the most inteLligent detective in the world up to being a SeaSoned chef.

But then, it’s me, I eventually lost interest again. :facepalm: In my defense, it was after I watched almost all his movies and series from this site so you can say that it is an achievement for me. :pats_myself:
And then that shy, chibi lead guy made his re-appearance on the silver screen, running on top of some Italian buildings. A lot has changed. Seeing him then as the blonde and expressive state alchemist that I adored so much since the original anime series just had me so focused on him right then and there.

From then on, I started stalking trying to get to know him more through his other movies and series, which eventually led me to a random episode of his group’s variety through one of the most awesome and hardworking fansub teams ever.
