Ollie was really sick this week. He had pneumonia and I missed about 10 hours of work. When he is sick there really isn't anything he can do but sleep or watch movies. Otherwise he will try to run around and play and then cough up a lung. So this makes being home with him really sweet and cuddly but also really boring. After a while I start to go stir crazy. I spent the majority of the weekend home with him because Melissa has school and other stuff so in an effort to not go stir crazy my self-care plan was to be really productive.

Here is what I did this weekend
-cleaned the entire house 2 or 3 times
-6 loads of laundry washed folded and put away
-too many loads of dishes to count
-scrubbed the bathroom
-built a fort
-mopped all the floors
-made 3 quarts of laundry soap
-made bread for the week
-roasted a 22 lb turkey
-made 5 cups of turkey salad for sandwiches
-made 6 quarts of turkey stock
-cleaned Ollie's room and our room
-cleaned the car inside and out
-picked up and sorted Ollie's toys about 4 times
-made the beds (i could only bring myself to do this one time, such a waste of time)

All while cooking meals, grocery shopping, watching Bob the Builder for the 12th time and dispensing antibiotics, asthma meds and monitoring fevers.

I am really happy with everything that I got done but I think my plan may have backfired a little bit. I think it may have just made me more obsessive. Though I certainly wasn't stir crazy. Fortunately Ollie is back at school today and I am at work and all is well.
