I got home from Gaelcon yesterday. I really enjoyed the con itself, though the commuting was a pain. Still, we were lucky the con was on at all after D4 got flooded out, and D4hotels are responsible for moving most of the displaced guests out as far as Leopardstown.
We had lots of space in the RDS, the RPG room was half empty. I spent all weekend playing board games, and didn't venture into any of the organised events, burned too many times by bad scenarios/GMs/players I spose.
I played the following boardgames
- Pandemic
- Smallword
- Smallworld Underground
- Blood Bowl Team Manager
- Power Grid
- El Grande
- Puerto Rico
- King of Tokyo
I bought a bunch of stuff, including
- Alien Frontiers
- Blood Bowl Team Manager
- Pandemic
- Smallworld Underground
- The Ares Project,
- Twilight Imperium 3rd Ed Shards of the Throne expansion
- Thunderstone and 2 expansions (AEG were at the con, and were selling their products cheap)
