Having a gigantic Christmas music geek out atm. Trying to think of all the "traditional" Christmas songs I might have, and listening to some of my favorites. Being a choir geek, I tend to like choral arrangements *shock*. But my favorite Christmas song has to be God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen by Sarah McLachlan with Bare Naked Ladies. And of course there's Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. But really, when you want to get in the Christmas mood, is there anything better than the old traditional carols? Here's what I've dug up so far, am I missing any?
Angels We Have Heard on High
Away in a Manger
Deck the Halls
Ding Dong Merrily on High
Do You Hear What I Hear?
The First Noel
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Joy to the World (Not 3 bow wow night :P)
The Little Drummer Boy (my favorite christmas carol)
O Come All Ye Faithful
O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
O' Holy Night
Silent Night
We Three Kings
We Wish You A Merry Christmas
I'd include What Child is This but I LOATHE that tune. What am I missing here folks? What are your favorite holiday tunes?
