“Yeah yeah! A haunted hotel!” Aiba cheered, high-fiving the other four members. He seemed to be the most excited, while Sho seemed nervous. Ohno was emotionless as always with Nino hanging off his shoulder and Jun seemed anxious as well.
“Okay!” Nino chimed, “Let’s split up and look around, then meet in the lobby in 30 minutes…”
Everyone nodded and entered the morbid looking building. They sent Ohno into the basement to see if the power could still be turned on, and with luck, power was restored to most of the building.
Nino, Aiba and Sho collected near an older looking elevator and pressed the button. A deep roaring sound was heard as it came up from the ground floor and the doors opened wide for them.
“Alright, everyone in,” Nino smirked. Jun refused to go into the elevator and went looking for Ohno. Nino shrugged and stepped inside once everyone else had and pressed the button that would take them efficiently to the top floor so they could explore.
The lights in the elevator suddenly went out and the elevator stopped. “EH?!” Sho cried out and started knocking on the elevator wall.
Aiba did the same but was a little more freaked out about the darkness in the tiny metal box they were trapped in. They heard shuffling. “Nino-chan? Do you know what happened….?”
There was no reply from Nino and something was poking Sho’s leg, making him jumpy. “AH! Something’s touching my leg! There’s something there!”
Upon hearing Sho start to flip out, Aiba was paranoid and started moving around, gripping Sho’s shirt tightly. “Uwah! What is it?!”
The poking on Sho’s leg moved further up until he was being poked in the cheek. He started screaming and flailing about, smacking Aiba in the shoulder and stepping on his feet. He practically climbed up the side of Aiba’s body.
Childish, yet evil laughter could be heard quietly coming from inside the elevator. Sho was continuously being poked until finally the lights snapped back on and the elevator began to rumble and move. Nino was right up in his face with of all things, a piece of asparagus. He poked Sho in the eye causing him to cry out in pain.
“What the hell?! Knock it off!” He moved off of Aiba and swiped the asparagus from Nino and snapped it in half. He angrily threw it on the ground and pouted in the corner. “That wasn’t funny! You could have made me blind!”
Nino just chuckled and shrugged.
Aiba picked up the destroyed piece of asparagus and examined it, “Where did you get this…? You don’t eat this stuff do you?” he gave Nino an awkward expression.
Nino refused to answer and just stood normally, waiting till they got to the top floor.
Just as quick as the elevator started up, the power went off again, making the elevator dark and unmoving.
Sho jumped at Aiba once again, fearing that Nino would try to scare him again.
“I told you to knock it off! It’s not funny anymore!”
“Yeah, stop it!” Aiba added.
The elevator started moving and the lights came back on, but Nino was missing entirely.
“What the-…” Sho started, “Where’d he go?!” I know he does magic, but I thought he could only do card tricks!”
Aiba looked around but found no evidence.
The elevator stopped on the top floor and the door opened. They half expected to see Nino on the other side of the door. When they looked up, they saw a giant stuffed grizzly bear. They both screamed and scrambled around to shut the elevator door.
“Shut it! Shut it!” Aiba cried, cowering in the corner.
Sho pushed every single button, in hopes that the elevator would start moving. Once it finally did, they relaxed a bit then grumbled about Nino and his childish ways.
Just when they thought they were safe, the elevator stopped again and went dark. They both screamed, afraid Nino would come out of the dark to scare them. There was a shuffling and footsteps coming from above their heads.
“Nino! Seriously! I don’t think we can take anymore!” Sho pleaded in agony, his heart racing and adrenaline pumping.
As soon as his words ceased, the elevator started back up again, and they were greeted in the light by the giant bear.
They screamed and this time had nowhere to go and nothing else to do but scream.
The elevator stopped and opened on the main level and Jun and Ohno were standing on the other side of the door, staring at the stuffed bear. Ohno cracked a smile and Jun was just stunned.
Nino poked his head out from the escape on the roof of the elevator, “Hi!”
Sho got flustered and his face turned read, “That was not funny! We told you!” His voice cracked and was raspy.
Nino just giggled like always and disappeared again.
Jun sighed and stared at the bear.
“Who ever thought that stupid bear would come back…it being in the bus was one thing…but this is terrible…” He sniffed, "Freaking magicians..."
