I know I have neglecting LJ again. This time, I will promise to keep it updated. I always thought it would be cool to look back on it when I'm 80 or so and laugh at myself at the funny memories and also painful experiences. However, I did browse my past entries and this is all I got:
whine whine whine whine whine whine
whine whine whine omg I had a great day!
whine whine whine whine whine whine whine
whine whine whine whine whine whine
I read enough entries to make me say, "Shut up!" at myself.I guess I still do it to some extent but I'll work on keeping it under control.
I finally bought a new pair of headphones after the left ear bud of my old pair gave out. Wow, what a difference these new ones make. Nothing like walking through the quad and feeling as if Rob Zombie is following you around belting out Living Dead Girl.
Speaking of the quad, the cherry blossoms growing there which were initially white and attracted visits from smiling Asian grandmas and their husbands, have turned into a murky brownish pink. It somewhat reminds me of how my quarter is going so far. There is always a great sense of being a clean white slate starting a new quarter. New classes, new teachers, new faces in class and maybe even a cute girl or boy sitting next to you during your Psych 101 class. You do your required readings, homework is completed earlier then the due date. You diligently write down those formulas for horizontal motion for physics while repeating in your head, "This quarter is going to be different. I'm starting new". However, as the weeks speed by you realize the brightness and charm of starting a new quarter eventually fades away to a more routine drab schedule fueled by procrastination and Sugar Free Rockstar (or whatever stimulant of your choice). The quarter for me now is like those cherry blossoms in the quad. Their wilting brownish salmon-colored petals are still somewhat nice and tolerable, but not as beautiful and fresh feeling as when they were that shade of unforgiving white.
And on a random note. I discovered my sister in Olympia just adopted a chicken:
My nephew Ethan and the so called chicken
